BIO

A little about me…

I was born in 1943 in Mt. Kisco, NY. (I drive through there frequently, and I’ve checked: still no commerative plaque). I came to verse, finally, in 1997 when I enrolled in my college classmate William Matthews’s graduate poetry workshop at City College in New York City. Since then I’ve worked on my poetry with Judith Baumel, Molly Peacock, Kate Light, Phillis Levin and Charles Martin.

After spending almost all my adult life within a block or two of New York’s Central Park, my wife and I moved to Providence, Rhode Island in 2006. There is poetry here, too.
